196th Battalion CEF

The 196th battalion was recruited in Brandon College, the universities of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, and mobilized in Winnipeg, Alberta, with a strength of 32 officers and 974 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 1 November 1916, on the troop ship Southland, and disembarked in the UK on 11 November.

195th Battalion CEF

The 195th battalion was recruited and mobilized in Regina, Saskatchewan, with a strength of 31 officers and 998 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 1 November 1916, on the troop ship Empress of Britain, and disembarked in the UK on 11 November.

194th Battalion CEF

The 194th battalion was recruited in the Edmonton district and mobilized in Edmonton, Alberta, with a strength of 31 officers and 912 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 14 November 1916, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 20 November.

193rd Battalion CEF

The 193rd battalion was recruited in Colchester, Cumberland, Picton, Hants, Guysborough and Antigonish counties, and mobilized in Truro, Nova Scotia, with a strength of 32 officers and 1024 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 13 October, 1916, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 19 October.

192nd Battalion CEF

The 192nd battalion was recruited in the Blairmore district, and mobilized in Blairmore, Saskatchewan, with a strength of 23 officers and 424 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 1 November, 1916, on the troop ship Empress of Britain, and disembarked in the UK on 11 November. 

191st Battalion CEF

The 191st battalion was recruited in the McLeod district, and mobilized in McLeod, Alberta, with a strength of 6 officers and 246 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 28 March, 1917, on the troop ship Saxonia, and disembarked in the UK on 7 April. 

190th Battalion CEF

The 190th battalion was recruited in the Winnipeg district and mobilized in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a strength of 15 officers and 379 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 3 May, 1917, on the troop ship Justicia, and disembarked in the UK on 14 May. 

189th Battalion CEF

The 189th battalion was recruited in eastern Quebec, and mobilized in Fraserville, Quebec, with a strength of 595 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 27 September, 1916, on the troop ship Lapland, and disembarked in the UK on 6 October. 

188th Battalion CEF

The 188th battalion was recruited in Prince Albert, North Battleford, Battleford, Radisson, Lloydminster, Humboldt, Kelliher, Kamsack, Yorkton, Melfort and Tisdale, and mobilized in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, with a strength of 32 officers and 1004 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 13 October, 1916, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 19 October. 

187h Battalion CEF

The 187th battalion was recruited in the Red Deer district and mobilized in Red Deer, Alberta, with a strength of 25 officers and 777 other ranks. The regiment was presented its colours by the IODE of Innisfail in June 1916. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 20 December, 1916, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 26 December.
