234th Battalion CEF

The 234th battalion was recruited in the Toronto district and mobilized in Toronto, Ontario, with a strength of 15 officers and 279 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 18 April 1917, on the troop ship Scandinavian, and disembarked in the UK on 29 April.

233rd Battalion CEF

The 233rd battalion was recruited amongst French Canadians in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba and mobilized in Edmonton, Alberta. Recruiting ceased by January 1917 and the unit was absorbed by the 178th battalion in March 1917.

232nd Battalion CEF

The 232nd battalion was recruited in North Battleford, Saskatoon, Rosetown, Kerrobert, Kindersley, Wilkie and Regina, and mobilized in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, with a strength of 13 officers and 286 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 18 April 1917, on the troop ship Northland, and disembarked in the UK on 29 April.

231st Battalion CEF

The 231st battalion was recruited in Vancouver and Sidney, and mobilized in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a strength of 28 officers and 661 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 11 April 1917, on the troop ship Canada, and disembarked in the UK on 22 April.

230th Battalion CEF

The 230th battalion was recruited in Ottawa, Hull, Brockville, Port Arthur and other parts of Ontario as well as in British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, and mobilized in Ottawa, Ontario. The first and second drafts embarked from Halifax on 26 January 1917, on the troop ship Scandinavian, and disembarked in the UK on 6 February. The third draft embarked from Halifax on on 4 March 1917, on the troop ship Ausonia, and disembarked in the UK on 15 March. 

229th Battalion CEF

The 229th battalion was recruited in Moose Jaw, Rouleau, Gull Lake, Elbow, Melville, Kincaid and Indian Head, and mobilized at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, with a strength of 17 officers and 526 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 18 April 1917, on the troop ship Northland, and disembarked in the UK on 29 April. 

228th Battalion CEF

The 228th battalion was recruited in Northern Ontario, and mobilized in North Bay, Ontario, with a strength of 31 officers and 756 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 17 February 1917, on the troop ship Missanabie, and disembarked in the UK on 27 February.

227th Battalion CEF

The 227th battalion was recruited in Sault Ste Marie, Sudbury, Chapleau, Thessalon, Blind River, Bruce Mines, Massey, Webbwood and Parry Sound, and mobilized in Camp Borden, with a strength of 28 officers and 783 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 11 April 1917, on the troop ship Carpathia, and disembarked in the UK on 22 April. 

226th Battalion CEF

The 226th battalion was recruited in Portage la Prairie, Dauphin, Virden, Neepawa, Minnedosa, Russell, Gladstone, Shoal Lake, Glenboro, Souris, Carberry, Swan River, Birtle and Rapid City, and mobilized in Camp Hughes, Manitoba, with a strength of 32 officers and 1035 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 20 December 1916, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 26 December.

225th Battalion CEF

The 225th battalion was recruited in Fernie, Cranbrook, Nelson and Grand Forks, and mobilized in Vernon, British Columbia, with a strength of 20 officers and 427 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 26 January 1917, on the troop ship Grampian, and disembarked in the UK on 6 February.
