228th Battalion CEF

The 228th battalion was recruited in Northern Ontario, and mobilized in North Bay, Ontario, with a strength of 31 officers and 756 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 17 February 1917, on the troop ship Missanabie, and disembarked in the UK on 27 February.

227th Battalion CEF

The 227th battalion was recruited in Sault Ste Marie, Sudbury, Chapleau, Thessalon, Blind River, Bruce Mines, Massey, Webbwood and Parry Sound, and mobilized in Camp Borden, with a strength of 28 officers and 783 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 11 April 1917, on the troop ship Carpathia, and disembarked in the UK on 22 April. 

226th Battalion CEF

The 226th battalion was recruited in Portage la Prairie, Dauphin, Virden, Neepawa, Minnedosa, Russell, Gladstone, Shoal Lake, Glenboro, Souris, Carberry, Swan River, Birtle and Rapid City, and mobilized in Camp Hughes, Manitoba, with a strength of 32 officers and 1035 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 20 December 1916, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 26 December.

225th Battalion CEF

The 225th battalion was recruited in Fernie, Cranbrook, Nelson and Grand Forks, and mobilized in Vernon, British Columbia, with a strength of 20 officers and 427 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 26 January 1917, on the troop ship Grampian, and disembarked in the UK on 6 February. 

224th Battalion CEF

The 224th battalion was recruited throughout Canada amongst lumbermen, and mobilized in Ottawa and Quebec. The first draft embarked from Halifax on 18 April 1916, on the troop ship Missanabie, and disembarked in the UK on 28 April. The second draft embarked from Halifax on 25 April 1916, on the troop ship Empress of Britain, and disembarked in the UK on 5 May. The third draft embarked from Halifax on 22 May 1916, on the troop ship Adriatic, and disembarked in the UK on 29 May.

222nd Battalion CEF

The 222nd battalion was recruited in the electoral divisions of Selkirk, Provencher, Lisgar, Macdonald and Souris, and mobilized in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a strength of 32 officers and 993 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 14 November, 1916, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 20 November.

221st Battalion CEF

The 221st battalion was recruited and mobilized in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a strength of 23 officers and 596 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 18 April, 1917, on the troop ship Ausonia, and disembarked in the UK on 29 April. 

220th Battalion CEF

The 220th battalion was recruited in York County, and mobilized in Toronto, Ontario, with a strength of 18 officers and 446 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 29 April, 1917, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 7 May. 

219th Battalion CEF

The 219th battalion was recruited in western Nova Scotia, the Annapolis Valley and Halifax, and mobilized in Aldershot, Nova Scotia, with a strength of 33 officers and 1001 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 13 October, 1916, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 19 October. 

218th Battalion CEF

The 218th battalion was recruited and mobilized in Edmonton, Alberta, with a strength of 27 officers and 621 other ranks. The first draft embarked from Halifax on 17 February, 1917, on the troop ship Southland, and disembarked in the UK on 27 February. The second draft embarked from Halifax on 4 March, 1917, on the troop ship Ausonia, and disembarked in the UK on 15 March.
