87th Battalion CEF

The 87th battalion was recruited in Gaspé, Eastern Townships, Pembroke, Dundas County and the mining districts of Ontario and Quebec and mobilized in Montreal, Quebec, with a strength of 36 officers and 1026 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 25 April 1916, on the troop ship Empress of Britain, and disembarked in the UK on 5 May.

86th Battalion CEF

The 86th battalion was recruited in Hamilton, Welland and Dundas and mobilized in Hamilton, Ontario, with a strength of 36 officers and 1072 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 22 May 1916, on the troop ship Adriatic, and disembarked in the UK on 29 May. 

85th Battalion CEF

The 85th battalion was recruited in Nova Scotia, and mobilized in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a strength of 34 officers and 1001 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 13 October 1916, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 19 October, and arrived in France on 11 February 1917.

84th Battalion CEF

The 84th battalion was recruited in and mobilized in Toronto, Ontario, with a strength of 36 officers and 913 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 20 June 1916, on the troop ship Empress of Britain, and disembarked in the UK on 28 June.

83rd Battalion CEF

The 83rd battalion was recruited and mobilized in Toronto, Ontario with a strength of 35 officers and 1035 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 1 May 1916, on the troop ship Olympic, and disembarked in the UK on 6 May.

82nd Battalion CEF

The 82nd battalion was recruited and mobilized in Calgary, Alberta, with a strength of 34 officers and 1006 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 22 May 1916, on the troop ship Empress of Britain, and disembarked in the UK on 29 May.

81st Battalion CEF

The 81st battalion was recruited in Toronto, Aurora, St. Catharines, Brampton, Niagara Falls and mobilized in Toronto, Ontario with a strength of 36 officers and 1071 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 1 May and disembarked in the UK on 6 May.

80th Battalion CEF

The 80th battalion was recruited in Kingston, Napanee, Belleville, Picton, Cobourg, Port Hope, Prescott, Brockville, Perth, Ottawa, Lindsay, Peterborough and Alexandria and mobilized in Barriefield, Ontario, with a strength of 35 officers and 1041 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 22 May 1916, on the troop ship Baltic and disembarked in the UK on 31 May.

79th Battalion CEF

The 79th battalion was recruited in Manitoba and mobilized in Brandon, Manitoba, with a strength of 37 officers and 1095 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 25 April 1916, on the troop ship Lapland, and disembarked in the UK on 5 May.

78th battalion CEF

The 78th battalion was recruited in the Winnipeg district and mobilized in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a strength of 37 officers and 1097 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 22 May 1916, on the troop ship Empress of Britain, and disembarked in the UK on 29 May, and arrived in France on 12 August.
