1st Battalion CEF
The 1st battalion was composed of recruits from Western Ontario, with a strength of 45 officers and 1121 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Quebec on 25 September 1914, on the troop ship Laurentic, and disembarked in the UK on 14 October, and arrived in France 11 February 1915.
