2nd Battalion CEF
The 2nd battalion was organized at Camp Valcartier and composed of recruits from Eastern Ontario, with a strength of 44 officers and 1083 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Quebec City on 3 October 1914, on the troop ship SS Cassandra, and disembarked in the UK on 25 October, and arrived in France 11 February 1915.
