53rd Battalion CEF

The 53rd battalion was recruited in Prince Albert Saskatoon, Battleford and Melfort and mobilized in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a strength of 35 officers and 1063 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 1 April 1915, on the troop ship Empress of Britain, and disembarked in the UK on 9 April.

52nd Battalion CEF

The 52nd battalion was recruited in Port Arthur, Kenora, Fort Francis, Fort William and Dryden and mobilized in Port Arthur, Ontario, with a strength of 40 officers and 1032 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Saint John on 23 November 1915, on the troop ship California, and disembarked in the UK on 2 December, and arrived in France on 21 February 1916.

51st Battalion CEF

The 51st battalion was recruited and mobilized in Edmonton, Alberta, with a strength of 37 officers and 1055 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 18 April 1916, on the troop ship Missanabie, and disembarked in the UK on 28 April.

50th Battalion CEF

The 50th battalion was recruited and mobilized in Calgary, Alberta, with a strength of 41 officers and 1036 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 27 October 1915, on the troop ship Orduna, and disembarked in the UK on 4 November, and arrives in France on 11 August 1916.

49th Battalion CEF

The 49th battalion was recruited and mobilized in Edmonton, Alberta, with a strength of 36 officers and 996 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Montreal on 4 June 1915, on the troop ship Metagama, and disembarked in the UK on 13 June, and arrived in France on 9 October 1915. 

48th Battalion CEF

The 48th battalion was recruited in Victoria, Prince Rupert, Kamloops, Okanagan Valley, Revelstoke, Nelson, Fernie and Cranbrook and mobilized in Victoria, British Columbia, with a strength of 38 officers and 1020 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Montreal on 1 July 1915, on the troop ship Grampian, and disembarked in the UK on 10 July.

47th Battalion CEF

The 47th battalion was recruited in New Westminster, Vancouver and Victoria and mobilized in New Westminster, British Columbia, with a strength of 36 officers and 1115 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Montreal on 13 November 1915, on the troop ship Missanabie, and disembarked in the UK on 22 November 1915, and arrived in France on 10 August 1916.

46th Battalion CEF

The 46th battalion was recruited in Moose Jaw, Regina, Weyburn, Estevan and Arcola and mobilized in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, with a strength of 36 officers and 1115 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 23 October 1915, on the troop ship Lapland, and disembarked in the UK on 30 October, and arrived in France on 10 August 1916.

45th battalion CEF

The 45th battalion was recruited in Brandon, Portage la Prairie, Winnipeg, Virden, Souris, Minnedosa and Dauphin and mobilized in Brandon, Manitoba, with a strength of 38 officers and 1119 other ranks. The battalion embarked from Halifax on 17 March 1916, on the troop ship Lapland, and disembarked in the UK on 25 March.

44th Battalion CEF

The 44th battalion was recruited and mobilized in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a strength of 36 officers and 1076 other ranks. The battalion embarked from  Halifax on 23 October 1915, on the troop ship Lapland, and disembarked in the UK on 30 October, and arrived in France on 10 August 1916.
